Exciting News!

A year ago, I recieved an email from an etsy customer who wished to purchase two of my upcycled teddy bears. She worked for a well known publishing company and was in the process of sourcing toys and softies to use in a baby board book. I of course was thrilled with the honor to have a handcrafted item of mine considered for this book!

I sold her the bears and filled out some forms, and for the next couple of months, periodically thought about how the process was going. Last year was a busy year for me and I ended up forgetting all about this, but today I just received a parcel from the publisher with the book inside!

The book is printed in 4 languages and sold all over the world! My striped teady bear was featured on the last page! I was completely elated and over the moon! It is such an affirmation to me that this is my dream job! To create and to have people enjoy what I create!

Book can be purchase at Borders, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Texas Bookman and Beall's.

Read below for an update on the past few months:

The Christmas craft sale season was a wildly successful adventure! I loved getting into the community and seeing all my customers face to face. If you came out to buy green, handmade presents from me, I am extremely grateful to you, and urge you to check my sites often to see new products that you might be interested in!

For the next few months I will be focusing on production, and listing items on my etsy shop. There will the favorite stand-bys: Stuffed owls, teddy bears, hot water bottle covers, coffe cup sleeves, and flower accessories, but I will also be adding a few new items! I am so excited to make these, post them and gauge customer reaction!

Come visit me at my next craft show this Saturday, December 11th!

Thanks for stopping in!

You might have noticed that for the past month I have been absent from this shop, etsy and my blog. I spent an incredible two weeks in Jamaica, and as soon as I got back, I started restocking! I will be spending the next month focusing on production, but might not be able to post everything I am making, as I am putting all my energy into preparing for a Christmas crafts sale!

I just got confirmation that I will be participating in Winter Wonderland! I am so excited to be a part of it, and would love to see you come and check out all my wares! Butterfly Garage items make wonderful Christmas presents, ones you can be proud to give, as they are eco-friendly and locally made with love!

Payment

Paypal is preferred as it is the fastest form of payment. Payment through Paypal must be received within 48 hours of purchase in order to process shipping.

If I do not receive Paypal payment within that period I will re-list the item.

If you do not have access to PayPal, email me and we can correspond about alternative options.

If you live in my immediate area, cash is acceptable at pick up or delivery.

Shipping

All Items are shipped via Canada Post regular mail within 2-3 business days after payment is received. I ship to the address listed on your Paypal account unless you tell me otherwise. If your address in Paypal is different from where you want your items sent, please email me so that they get shipped to the correct address.

If you would like an item expedited please email me and I can look into additional costs for priority mail.

I will send you a confirmation email once the item has been shipped. I keep all shipping receipts in case of a dispute.

Please note that shipping charges can not be refunded as they cover the cost for: preparation, materials for packing, the box, and the freight charge.

I can not be held responsible for lost or damaged items while item is being shipped.

Insurance is not included in the shipping cost, but, if you're interested, email me, and I will send you a revised invoice.

Because I try to be as earth friendly as possible, don't be surprised by the creative use of the wrapping and boxing of your purchase! The tree's thank you!

I do offer international shipping but those outside of Canada must be responsible for custom fees.

If you custom order an item please allow 2 weeks for item to be made.

Refunds and Exchanges

I have done my best to provide accurate, detailed pictures of all of my products along with as much written detail as possible. Please email me with any questions or concerns before you make a purchase to avoid dissatisfaction with an item.

Exchanges will only be preformed under certain circumstances, so please email me with an explanation as to why you need the item exchanged, and we can correspond from there. In the case of an exchange all return shipments are at the expense of the buyer and merchandise must be returned in same condition received. If you are unhappy with a purchase you have one week after receiving item to correspond with me to see if exchange can been approved. If approved you have one week to ship the item back.

Due to the nature of custom orders some orders if extremely personalized will not be approved for exchange.

I will exchange any defected item for a similar one, once it has been returned and thoroughly inspected for damage. In the case of a defected item, I will be responsible for re-shipping.

Refunds will not be issued.

I do not offer exchanges or refunds for shipping errors (ie. getting lost or damaged in the mail)

In the matter of sizing, if it is an error on your part(not ordering the right size for the intended recipient) unfortunately I cannot refund. If it is an error on my part, I will gladly exchange for the correct size. So please use caution when ordering an item by size. If ordering for a baby or child, the best practice is to order a size larger than you think may fit at this moment.

Additional Policies and FAQs

All items are made in a non-smoking home.

When making booties I rely on the below chart for standard measurements: The measurements for the particular age bracket listed are standard sizes of the average baby. Please use caution as not all babies fir into the brackets regarding age and size. Best practice is to measure the babies feet prior to ordering.

Please follow the chart below to find the size bracket that would best fit your babies age or approximate foot length.

Shoes will be made 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer than the largest measurement for each size bracket.

Size A age- 0 to 3 months * measurements- 3 1/4" - 3 1/2"

Size B age- 3-6 months * measurements- 3 1/2" - 3 3/4"

Size C age- 6-9 months * measurements- 4" - 4 1/4"

Size D age- 9-12 months * measurements- 4 1/4" - 4 1/2"

Size E age- 12-18 months * measurements- 4 3/4"- 5"

Owly Baird's are a close cousin to Teddy Baird's. Each one is one of a kind, with no pattern to dictate their whimsical natures.

They are made with recycled felted wool sweaters and are totally eco friendly! And as of now any new stock are being made with recycled plastic bottle poly-fil.

Their prices are based on their size so will be priced individually.

Owly Baird's have no removable parts, and are completely baby and kid friendly!

Each Owly Baird has a unique personality and is waiting for you to take them home for some huggin' and lovin'!

Indra Designs are for all your announcement needs. If you have a need for birth announcements, music posters, thank you cards, invitations, holiday greetings.... anything you can think of, I can design it for you!

It's simple! All I need is a high quality digital photo, the pertinent information, and a general idea of what you want. I will work on the design send a watermarked jpeg back to you and if your happy with the results, I can email you the jpeg for $20.

Do you have a special item that is not currently being sold in the Butterfly Garage Boutique that you would like me to make?

I would be happy to consider the commission!

Please click on the link at the bottom of the page entitled "The Butterfly Garage Files" to see examples of my work.

Email me your idea with all the pertinent info, and I will get back to you on whether or not production would be possible. Please keep in mind that I have to consider time constraints as well as financial viability.

From there we can correspond about the time frame of making the product and price.

All prices will be in increments of $10 and $5 Canadian dollars. Once we have agreed on a price you can pay through money order, personal cheque or Paypal.

If you pay through Paypal(preferred method of payment) you can click on the "Buy Now" button below to place order.

For example, a Special Product Order costing $10, click on the button once.

SIZE ISSUES- If your shoes don't fit baby and it is due to my error I will make an exchange. However if you've ordered the wrong size bracket for your baby I'm afraid I can not make an exchange.

It is probably a good idea to err on the side of caution and order a size up if youre not sure of babies exact measurements!

Don't forget to tell me the size!:) I cannot get started on your order until I know the size needed.

Judies Booties

Judies Booties are crocheted, leather soled boots that come in a variety of sizes and colors. Buttons are adjustable to ensure a proper fit around baby's calf.
